What is included in the fee to attend an NYU Career Fair?
Each registration includes a 5-by-2 foot table, tablecloth and tent with your organization’s name, as well as food and chairs for 2 representatives.

Please note: We do not provide special food for dietary restrictions/needs. In general, we do offer a vegetarian option.

What are the fees to attend an NYU Career Fair?

What qualifies as a small business?
The NYU Wasserman Center for Career Development defines small businesses as having fewer than 30 employees, being privately or independently owned and not a part of a large franchise organization. We will ask for verification and the classification is subject to our discretion.

I lost/forgot my password. How do I get a new one?
We cannot issue a new password for you. Go to the Career Fair login page and click on “forgot username or password.” A new password will be emailed to you instantly.

How do I know that my registration is confirmed?
Your registration is confirmed only when you receive a second, very detailed email, including shipping deadlines and logistics for the day of the event. This email will be sent to you within 24-48 hours of registering. You will receive a generic initial email. This is not your confirmation.
Also, the initial email confirmation you received after creating an NYU CareerNet account is not your registration confirmation for the Career Fair.

I entered my credit card information into the system but my invoice looks like I haven’t paid. What’s going on?
The invoice attached to the initial, generic email does not accurately reflect your invoice. The second, detailed confirmation email will have your updated invoice attached. In general we approve registrations within 24-48 hours.

How do I add an additional representative?
If you have not already registered, you can do this on the registration form. If you have already registered, please call the NYU Career Fair Hotline at (212) 998-4757. We will get back to you within 24 hours.

Please note: we allow up to 2 additional representatives and charge $30 per rep. Should your organization need more, we suggest you purchase a duplicate registration to ensure space for your recruiting needs.

Where should I ship materials?
Ship your materials to:

Shipping should be sent approximately 2 weeks prior to the fair. Shipping MUST be received one week prior to the fair. Label all packages with the NYU Fair you are attending and your organization’s name. Your materials will be waiting for you at your table on the day of the fair.

NYU Wasserman and the Puck Building are not able to accept ANY packages.

**Please note: The Master’s Level Social Work Fair does not accept shipped materials.

What should I do if I missed the shipping deadline?
Whalen’s does not accept late shipments; NYU Wasserman cannot receive your packages. We suggest shipping the materials to your hotel or an affiliated office prior to the event. You can also bring them by hand on the day of the event.

How do I ship materials back/to my next location after the fair?
NYU will provide FedEx and UPS labels and arrange pickup service after the fair. To expedite this process, please have your account number available as NYU is not responsible for the charges.

What time should I arrive for the Career Fair?
Employer registration opens 1 ½ hours prior to the Career Fair. We recommend arriving no later than ½ hour prior to the event.

Where is the closest parking garage?
If you are attending a Career Fair at the Puck Building, the closest parking garage is on Houston at Crosby. This is 1/2 block west of the Puck Building.

If you are attending a Career Fair at the Kimmel Center for Student Life the closest parking garage is Thompson Street Parking Corp, 221 Thompson St.

How big is my display space?
Your space is a 5-by-2 foot table. Your materials MAY NOT exceed this. If you feel that they will, you must purchase an additional table.

What should I bring to the Career Fair?
We recommend you bring business cards, job descriptions, a calendar so you can set up interviews with students and promotional materials about your company. Also, products that feature your organizational branding are always welcome!

You should also have available a shipping account number for FedEx or UPS in the event you have materials that you need to ship at the conclusion of the fair and a copy of your confirmation email.

Finally, it is a good idea to bring a sweater or a jacket. The Puck Building, where most Career Fairs are held, is a large building and it can be hard to regulate the temperature.

Who attends an NYU Career Fair? How many attendees usually come?
All NYU students registered in a degree-granting program, or who have graduated within one year, are welcome to attend our fairs. Our fairs usually draw up to 2,000 students across a variety of majors and interests. The only fair that our alumni attend is the Job Expo in the spring.

Can I post the NYU Career Fair on my website?
Yes you may, but please be sure to include a note explaining that our Career Fairs are ONLY open to NYU students enrolled in degree-granting programs, or who are within one year of graduation and still possess a valid ID card.
