The Wasserman Center for Career Development is a comprehensive career center that offers students and alumni award-winning services that are essential for competing in today's job market. Our goal is to provide employers with responsive services to meet individual recruiting needs and to make the task of identifying and interviewing qualified candidates simple and easy..

The Center is dedicated to helping students explore careers, learn new skills and gain valuable work experience to complement academic training. Special internship programs link students with organizations that offer career-related opportunities. Employers have the opportunity to work with students who are motivated, eager to contribute and learn first-hand about a profession.

The importance of work experience and development of skill-sets are emphasized to students as an integral part of the career development process.

Over 85% of NYU students work 15 - 20 hours a week in career-related employment while attending classes. They hold responsible internships and part-time jobs in all types of organizations. NYU students' SAT scores are amongst the highest in the nation and they maintain high academic standards in a fast-paced urban environment. This affords employers the opportunity to interview qualified, experienced, and well-prepared candidates for challenging careers.
