When you need to fill out a Refund Application:

If you withdraw from a course, after paying your bill:
If you withdraw from a course or withdraw completely using Albert - Student Information System and have paid your bill, you must fill out a Refund Application.

When you do not need to fill out a Refund Application:

If the receipt of your student loan results in a credit balance, this application does not need to be completed. If you meet all the eligibility requirements for a loan, a refund check will automatically be mailed to you.

Refund checks will be mailed to:

  • Permanent address — for Undergraduate students
  • Local address — for Graduate and Diploma students

To insure receipt of your refund check, it is important to maintain your address through Albert — Student Information System via NYUHome.

Fastest way to receive your Refund:

You can also sign up for Direct Deposit and have your refund directly deposited into a checking account. Direct Deposit is the fastest and most secure way to receive your refund.
