The University has contracted with an outside Credit Card service called BillMatrix (formerly called CheckFree), to permit students to make payments toward their student account using American Express, Discover and Master Card. Visa will not be participating in the program. A convenience fee of 2.5% of the amount of the payment will be charged by the service to the cardholder.

Payments can also be made by accessing the BillMatrix (formerly called CheckFree) website.

Tuition Payments can be made to BillMatrix (formerly called CheckFree) by calling a toll-free number, (877) 527-7851 (within the U.S.), or (214) 256-7445 (outside the U.S.), dedicated to New York University.

This is the only method available for using a credit card to pay a student account balance.

The policy applies to all undergraduate and graduate students with the exception of participants in the SCPS non-credit division and Dental School non-credit division continuing education programs. NYU students will still be able to use credit cards on campus at the bookstore, at the Student Health Service Center, and for campus cash deposits.
