Loan Application Process
A student begins the loan application process by filling out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Renewal FAFSA. The priority deadline for NYU is usually February 15 for new freshmen, and March 1 for all other students (see Deadlines).
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the basic application form for most student aid programs. Students are encouraged to apply for financial aid electronically by using FAFSA on the Web, the fastest and most accurate method. This process is quicker and permits you to review the status of your submitted application and make changes if necessary.
For more information visit the NYU Office of Financial Aid website or the FASFA website.
