E-bill Login Tips
The E-bill system is case sensitive:
- Make sure to CAPITALIZE the letter "N"in your Student ID number.
- Do not add dashes -- or parenthesis ( ) when entering the "N" number.
- Your E-bill User Name and Password are case sensitive.
- For example, during initial login, if you choose a User name that is in all lower case letters; you must type this User name in lower case letters each time you login.
First-time Electronic bill User Tips
On Enrollment Step 1 of 3:
- Make sure to read and accept the Terms and Conditions box.
- Under Enrollment Type:
- Students should check the "STUDENT" option.
- Then enter Last name.
- Student ID ("N" Number).
- Date of Birth (MM/DD/YYYY) as it appears in the Albert Student Information System.
- Parents/Authorized Users need to check the "OTHER PERSON" option:
- Enter the Activation ID number (which was sent to parents/authorized users in an e-mail after the student invited you).
- Enter the student's ID number (You must ask the student for this, which is on the back of the student's ID card).
- If you have not received the Student's Activation ID via e-mail, the student has not yet invited you to be a user on the system. Once a student is logged in, they must select the "MY PROFILE" tab at the top of the page, and click "INVITE OTHER PAYER" button. The student should enter their parent's name and e-mail address, to invite the parent/authorized user to create their own user name and password on the e-bill system.
Forgot User Name Tips
- Log onto the e-bill site: www.nyu.edu/bursar/viewebill
- Scroll down the bottom of the page: Click blue link that says: Forgot your User Name?
If you are a STUDENT who forgets your user name:
- Student should click the Primary Payer circle.
- For the Payer ID: Student should enter their University ID, aka the “N” number. This number can be found on the back of the student’s ID card.
- Enter the e-mail address you used when signing up. (This can be NYUHome or a secondary e-mail address, if the student has provided one through Albert).
- Click the NEXT button.
- Answer the Secret Question, and then click the “Find User Name” button.
- The User Name will be e-mailed to the student.
If you are a PARENT or OTHER USER who forgets your user name:
- Parent should click the “Other Payer” circle.
- Enter the “Activation ID”: This was sent to the Parent or Other User via e-mail when the student invited you to enroll in E-billing. The student can also look up this Activation ID, by logging onto their Electronic Bill account, and clicking the “My Profile” tab. The Activation ID will be listed on the right hand side of the screen.
- Enter e-mail address used when signing up and click “NEXT”.
- Answer the Secret Question, and then click the “Find User Name” button.
- The User Name will be e-mailed to the Parent or Other User
Forgot Password Tips
If the Student, Parent or Other User Forgot Password click:
- Log onto the e-bill site: www.nyu.edu/bursar/viewebill
- Scroll down the bottom of the page: Click blue link that says: Forgot your Password?
- Enter User Name.
- Enter answer the Secret Question and click the Reset Password button.
- A new password will be e-mailed to the user.
- Please change this password the next time you login. To change the password, once logged in, go to the E-bill “My Profile” screen, scroll down to the bottom and update and save your new password.
Recommended Web Browser
If you are having trouble viewing your Electronic bill, it may be due to the type of Web Browser you are using.
- You may have trouble viewing your E-bill if you are using Safari as your Web Browser.
- The E-bill site is best viewed by using Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher, Netscape 6 or higher, and Mozilla Firefox 1.0.6 or higher.
