High Holidays Schedule 2009

Schedule for High Holidays 2009

Our services, run in co-sponsorship with our religious student groups (Koach, Kesher, Shalhevet and Chabad), are specifically geared towards a student population. We aim to create an environment which is open, nonjudgmental, and inclusive. Students take active leadership roles in running the services.
No public solicitations or appeals are made at services.

There are three services:

Reform Services
Eli Freedman, our Kesher Rabbinic Intern, will be leading the Reform Services this year with our cantor of 3 years, Deanna Neil. The services are held mainly in English, with traditional songs and services in Hebrew. All services take place at Rosenthal Pavilion on the 10th floor of Kimmel.

Conservative Services
The Conservative Services, led this year by our new Rabbinic Intern, David Saiger, and our cantor from last year, Amy Zelcer, are conducted mostly in Hebrew, though explanation and guidance are provided. All services take place at the Eisner & Lubin Auditorium on the 4th Floor of Kimmel.

Orthodox Services
The Orthodox Services for Rosh Hashanah will take place at the Bronfman Center, while the Yom Kippur services will take place at Kimmel. Services are led and sung in Hebrew by our cantor and new Rabbinic Intern, Binyamin Lehrfield, and our very own Rabbi Yehuda Sarna. Commentary and direction provided by Director of Chabad, Rabbi Dov Yonnah Korn.
