14th Street Y
The 14th Street Y, a Jewish community center, is a vital neighborhood resource that welcomes people of all backgrounds. The Y provides a variety of programs with a distinctive downtown point of view, emphasizing excellence, innovation, creativity and a questioning spirit.

Synagogues, In-Shul Young Adult Programming, and Off-Shoot Minyans

Kol haKfar
Kol haKfar is an egalitarian minyan that gathers in downtown New York City. Our pluralistic community gathers twice a month to celebrate kabbalat shabbat and ma'ariv in an egalitarian, traditional atmosphere. We also host occasional Shabbat lunches and dinners. For more information, please email .

Downtown Minyan
Join this vibrant group to get a taste of the downtown village vibe.  Regular traditional minyanim, minyan members are available to help Shabbat dinner hosts find guests or help guests find dinner hosts, and they are a great resource for making connections for available apartments in the neighborhood.

Community Synagogue
Starting after the High Holidays, the Community Synagogue on 6th Street will be home to NYU Village GAP weekly Shabbat dinners.  See the 'Free Weekly Shabbat Dinner' tab for more details.

Town and Village Synagogue
Town and Village Synagogue, located on 14th Street, takes part in the STAR [Synagogues for Transformation And Renewal] initiative called "Synaplex".  “Synaplex” Shabbat programming is held once a month with services followed by a Friday night dinner and speaker. Often times, following speakers, Young Adult Programming is held with desserts, wine, good conversations, etc…

The Conservative Synagogue of Fifth Avenue
The Conservative Synagogue offers a young family programs, for those grad students bringing families with them to NYU, as well as graduate and young adult programming for community members.
