- Faculty Digital Archive (FDA)
- Files 2.0
- Some Digital Library content
- Webspace
- NYU Search. NYU web searches powered by the Google Search Appliance will not work. Temporary messaging will advise site viewers to search Google.com.
- DNS Manager and DHCP Network Registration. Wiired registrations and DNS changes (adds/modifications/deletions) will not be available.
- OneCard. NYU community members won’t be able add cash to their cards or use their cards with merchants who support Campus Cash.
- Cisco IP Telephones (home phones only)

Please be advised of the following updates to the planned maintenance at NYU’s West Data Center. Full details of this maintenance activity, including additional affected ITS services, are available on the ITS Service Status page (http://www.nyu.edu/bin/its/status/status.pl?inci=4077).

FRIDAY, JUNE 21
----------------------
The following ITS-supported services will be unavailable:
- Albert/SIS: Friday, June 21, 5pm ET through Saturday, June 22, 12pm ET. Albert/SIS will be unavailable for logins. SIS web services will remain available, and SIS batch jobs will continue to run as previously scheduled.
- DNS Manager (DNS/DHCP registrations): Friday, June 21, 2pm ET through Sunday, June 23, 5am ET. At 2pm ET, DNS Manager will experience a change freeze. During this time, the service will be accessible, but no changes will be possible. The service will then be unavailable starting at 5pm ET, continuing through the duration of the maintenance activity.

*UPDATED* Multiple NYU Services Unavailable: Fri., June 21, 5pm ET - Sun., June 23, 5am ET

In order to perform required maintenance and upgrade the UPS (uninterruptible power supply) and electrical systems at NYU’s West Data Center, some ITS-supported services will experience an extended outage. Because we have a number of services that are redundant or have failover to other data centers, only some services will be impacted.

The period during which systems will be unavailable or impacted is Friday, June 21, 5pm ET through Sunday, June 23, 5am ET.

The following services will be UNAVAILABLE during this time:
- Faculty Digital Archive (FDA)
- Files 2.0
- Luna Insight
- Some Digital Library content
- Webspace
- NYU Search. NYU web searches powered by the Google Search Appliance will not work. Temporary messaging will advise site viewers to search Google.com.
- DNS Manager and DHCP Network Registration. Wiired registrations and DNS changes (adds/modifications/deletions) will not be available.
- OneCard. NYU community members won’t be able add cash to their cards or use their cards with merchants who support Campus Cash.
- Cisco IP Telephones (home phones only)
- ProjTrak
- During this same period and not connected to the West Data Center electrical work, there will be NO wired or wireless network service to NYU's 17th Street location due to electrical work being performed by Facilities Operations.

The following services will be operating with fewer resources, with NO SERVICE DISRUPTION EXPECTED:
- NYU Classes and Single Sign-On/NYU Login will be operating with fewer servers, but we do not expect any service degradation.
- NYU-NET and VPN services will be operating at a reduced level

For the few unit-specific services that will be affected, ITS staff have been in touch with the units involved to prepare.

Updates will be posted to the IT Service Status page (www.nyu.edu/its/status) if necessary.

A LOOK AHEAD OVER THE SUMMER
NYUROAM WIRELESS: From July 1 through August 15, there will be other maintenance periods required to keep systems secure and up-to-date. Throughout the summer, ITS will be upgrading the NYURoam wireless network across the campus and there will be brief, rolling wireless outages, all performed during very early morning hours.

REGULAR MAINTENANCE: Regular maintenance of ITS-supported services will take place during normal maintenance windows. In particular, be aware of the following maintenance activities:
- Albert Portal components upgrade: Friday, June 21, 6pm ET - Saturday, June 22, noon ET
- Albert Portal PeopleTools upgrade: Friday, June 28, 6pm ET - Saturday, June 29, noon ET
- SIS components and PeopleTools upgrade: Friday, July 19, 6pm ET - Saturday, July 20, noon ET
- Firewall Migration: Saturday, July 27, noon ET - 4pm ET

Notifications will be provided in advance of each of these.
