Men's Cross Country Makes Season Debut Saturday at Monmouth University

After finishing as the NCAA Division III national runner-up in 2006, the New York University men's cross country squad will begin its 2007 season Saturday, Sept. 1, at the Monmouth University Cross Country Kickoff at 10 am in Lincroft, New Jersey.

NYU returns its top five runners and plenty of depth after winning its first-ever University Athletic Association (UAA) and NCAA Division III Atlantic Region championships last fall. Seniors Hany Abdallah, Jon Phillips and Ryan Williams, as well as junior Jesse Schneider, helped the Violets earn a cross country program-best four All-Americans.

Senior James McCarthy, a Second Team All-UAA runner, rounds out of the nation's finest running quintets.
