Wrestling's Hult Wins UAA Athlete of the Week Award

After the most successful weekend of his stellar career, New York University senior Stephen Hult was named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Wrestling Athlete of the Week.

Hult earned the weekly accolade after garnering All-America status by placing third at 141 pounds at the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships, held March 7-8 in Cedar Rapids, IA.

The senior from Hillsdale, NJ, reached the semifinals of his weight class before losing on a last-second takedown, then triumphed in his next two bouts to tie for the best-ever showing by a NYU grappler. Hult went 4-1 at the nationals and finished his senior year 32-6. Overall, he went 97-23 in his career and qualified for the NCAA's twice.
