Wrestling's Martino Honored as UAA Athlete of the Week

New York University freshman wrestler Gregg Martino was named the University Athletic Association Athlete of the Week on Tuesday.

Martino posted a 5-1 record this week, which included winning the individual title at the 141-pound weight class at the Plymouth State University Invitational. His efforts helped lead the wrestlers, ranked #27 in the National Wrestling Coaches Association Brute-Adidas Division III Team Rankings, to the title at the Invitational.

He also posted a split in dual matches against Muhlenberg College (6-4 loss) and Elizabethtown College (8-5 victory).

For the season, Martino is 16-6.
