Wrestling's Dack Named UAA Athlete of the Week

New York University freshman John Dack was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Wrestler of the Week on Monday.

Dack went 3-2 in the 149-pound weight class at the Simpson College Invitational on Dec. 1. He opened with decisions over opponents from Dana College and Waldorf College before dropping a sudden-death overtime decision in the quarterfinals to the third seed and eventual runner-up from Simpson.

In the consolation bracket, Dack posted a 10-3 victory over a second wrestler from Dana College before losing a 7-0 decision to a grappler from Wartburg College.
