Women's Volleyball Participating in UAA Championship This Weekend

The New York University women's volleyball team will participate in the 2007 University Athletic Association (UAA) Volleyball Championship being held Friday and Saturday, Nov. 2 and 3, at the University of Rochester.

Seeded #6, the Violets (16-16, 3-4 UAA) finished third at the 2006 UAA Championship. They are in Pool B with #2 Emory University, #3 Brandeis University and #7 University of Chicago. NYU will face Brandeis at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, followed by a 12:30 p.m. match against Emory. Head coach Ed Caesar's squad will cap pool play Saturday at 9:00 a.m. against Chicago.

How the Violets fare in their first three matches will determine where they place and against whom they will play on Saturday afternoon. NYU will play the team from Pool A that finishes in the same place as it does on Saturday afternoon.
