Women's Track's Jackson Posts Season-Best Time at NYU Fastrack

Some of the nation's top teams and individuals were running, throwing and jumping at the NYU Fastrack Invitational, which New York University hosted on Friday, February 29, at the New Balance Armory Track and Field Center in Manhattan.

In a long day's worth of events, the invitational began with the 60-meter hurdles trials at 1:45pm, and ran continuously through the 4x400-meter relays at approximately 10pm.

One of the highlights for the NYU women was senior captain Beatrix Jackson's season-best 1:20.99 in the 500 meters. Her time was less than one second off the NYU record-time of 1:20.36.

Also for the Violets, sophomore Maureen Griffin threw a season-best 10.03 meters in the shot put and finished 15th overall. Her previous best this season was 9.73 meters.
