Abdallah Wins UAA T&F Honors

New York University senior Hany Abdallah earned University Athletic Association (UAA) Men’s Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors on Tuesday, February 12.

Abdallah placed third out of 123 competitors in the 5,000-meter run at the Boston University Invitational this weekend. His NCAA Division III automatic-qualifying time of 14:21:87 broke his own school record set last spring. Abdallah has posted the lowest mark in the UAA so far this season in the 5,000-meter run by a margin of 25.19 seconds.

Abdallah was named Indoor Track and Field Regional Athlete of the year last season, and earned All-American accolades at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championship this fall for the third straight year after helping to lead NYU to the national title.
