Women's Tennis Sweeps Simmons

The New York University women's tennis team blanked Simmons College 9-0 on Sunday, October 7, in Boston, Massachusetts.

In a quick 24-hour turnaround, the Violets (2-3) rebounded from a 9-0 loss at Tufts University on Saturday to post a shutout of their own on Sunday.

NYU swept all six singles matches, as well as all three doubles contests.

"It was a great bounce-back win for us," said NYU head coach Horace Choy. "Hopefully, this will give us some momentum going into the state championships in two weeks."

The Violets will be competing at the New York State Women's Collegiate Athletic Association (NYSWCAA) Championships at Cornell University in Ithaca, N Y, on Friday-Sunday, October 19-21.
