Women's Tennis Tumbles at Tufts

10/06/07

The New York University women's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to Tufts University on Saturday in Medford, Massachusetts.

The Violets (1-3) were swept in all six singles matches, as well as in all three doubles tilts.

NYU freshman Alexandra Havas was the only Violet to win in a set.

"Tufts is a very strong team. Very, very solid," said NYU head coach Horace Choy. "Our players competed hard, but things just didn't go our way. Hopefully, we can rebound vs. Simmons tomorrow."

NYU returns to the court on Sunday, October 7, when the team faces Simmons College in Boston.
