Women's Tennis Earns First Win

The New York University women's tennis team won its first dual match of the 2007-08 season, defeating SUNY New Paltz 8-1 on Saturday afternoon in New Paltz, NY.

The Violets (1-2) swept the three doubles matches and collected wins in five of the six singles tilts.

Double-winners on the day for NYU included senior co-captain Meggie Smith (#2 singles/#1 doubles), senior Holly Smith (#3 singles/#1 doubles), senior co-captain Jaclyn Manning (#4 singles/#2 doubles), and freshman Alexandra Havas (#6 singles/#3 doubles).
