Men's Tennis' Gurevich Garners UAA Athlete of the Week Nod

After a stellar week at #1 singles and #1 doubles, New York University senior co-captain Mikhail Gurevich earned the University Athletic Association (UAA) Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week award.

Ranked #16 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Northeast Region rankings, the senior from Brooklyn, NY, started the week by sparking a 5-2 triumph over Division I Fordham University on April 2. After recording a 6-3, 6-1 victory in singles play, Gurevich teamed with Brett Levin for an 8-4 doubles win.

On Sunday, Gurevich collected a straight-set victory (6-2, 6-3) and paired with Levin for another doubles triumph (8-3) as the Violets bowed to Division II Queens College at the U.S. National Tennis Center in Flushing, NY.

For the season, Gurevich is 14-5 in singles action. While teaming with Levin, he has a 3-0 mark in doubles.
