Men's Tennis Downed by Christopher Newport

The New York University men's tennis team was defeated by Christopher Newport University 7-2 on Saturday, March 1, in a match held at Salisbury University in Salisbury, MD.

NYU (1-3) was swept in the doubles matches, but captured two of the six singles match-ups.

The victorious Violets were senior co-captains Mikhail Gurevich and Calvin Chou.

Gurevich, playing at #1, outlasted his opponent 6-1, 5-7, 6-0.

Chou had an easier time in his match, posting a straight-set 6-3, 6-4 victory.

The Violets return to the court on Wednesday, March 5, when they face The College of New Jersey in Ewing, NJ. First serves are set for 3:30pm.
