
Men's Tennis Wins Spring Opener

The New York University men's tennis team opened the spring portion of its 2007-08 season with a 5-4 victory over Swarthmore College in Swarthmore, PA, on Saturday.
The Violets (1-1 overall) won two of the three doubles matches and split the six singles matches to secure the victory.
It was a true team effort for the Violets as seven different players (3 singles, 4 doubles) recorded wins, while no played had more than one.
Senior co-captain Mikhail Gurevich (#1), junior Craig Berger (#3) and sophomore P.J. Marranca (#6) scored the singles victories, while junior Brett Levin and sophomore Eugene Tsarevskiy (#2), and senior co-captain Calvin Chou and junior Karol Kocemba (#3) recorded the doubles victories.
