
Winning Ways Continue for Women's Swimming and Diving Team

Showing no ill effects from a long winter layoff, the New York University women's swimming and diving team continued its undefeated season, beating Springfield College 151-92 at the Palladium Athletic Facility on Wednesday.
Sophomore Patricia Beck was a multiple winner for the Violets (9-0), capturing the 200 IM (2:14.04), the 200 back (2:12.31), and as a part of the 400 medley relay (4:05.88) along with freshman Chelsea Pfohl, sophomore Danielle Hildebrandt and junior Samantha Ashby.
Freshman Alexandra Strzempko was a double winner for the Violets, taking the 1,000 free (10:48.75) and the 500 free (5:18.46). Senior Janelle Szary was also a multiple winner, taking the 50 free (25.51), the 100 free (56.23) and as a member of the 400 free relay (3:46.94) along with Pfohl, junior Caitlin Albrecht, and senior captain Christine Hooper.
The Violets return to action Saturday, January 26 against The College of New Jersey at the Palladium Athletic Facility.
