Women's Swimming and Diving Ranked 20th in Nation

The New York University women’s swimming and diving team was ranked 20th in the nation in the inaugural CollegeSwimming.com /CSCAA Division III Coaches’ Poll released on November 21.

Anchored by senior captains Michelle Del Rio, Amy Gartman, Christine Hooper, Virginia Milano, and Dorota Sawicz, the Violets are off to a fast start. NYU is currently 8-0 and preparing for this weekend’s ECAC Championship taking place at the Nassau County Aquatic Center in East Meadow, NY.

Kenyon College is currently ranked first, while the Violets are just 27 points behind 19th place Massachusetts Institute of Technology. NYU is a member of the powerful University Athletic Association (UAA), which features six teams in the top 25 including second-ranked Emory University. The UAA has the most teams of any one conference.

The poll, released four times throughout the season, will next be released on December 12th
