Women's Swimming & Diving Defeats Swarthmore

The New York University Women's swimming and diving team defeated Swarthmore College 131-74 on Saturday in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania.

The Violets were led by sophomore Patricia Beck, who won two individual events, taking the 200 back in 2:11.46 as well as the 200 individual medley in 2:11.40. Beck was also a member of the winning the 400 medley relay team (4:10.69) along with freshman Chelsea Pfohl, sophomore Danielle Hildebrandt and junior Samantha Ashby.

Hildebrandt also won the 200 free in 2:00.85, while Ashby took home the 200 breast in 2:32.27.

Sophomore Kacey McCaffrey was also a double winner for the Violets taking the 500 free in 5:15.30 and the 1000 free in 10:38.10.

The Violets next return to the pool for the ECAC Championships starting November 30 at the Nassau County Aquatic Center in East Meadow, NY.
