
Men's Swimming and Diving Defeats Rowan

The New York University men’s swimming and diving team defeated Rowan University at the Palladium on Saturday by a score of 139-99.
Junior Eric Wang paced the Violets, winning two individual events. He won the 200 IM in a time of 2:00.32 as well as the 200 fly with a time of 1.57.33.
Junior Paul Hogan also won two individual events, taking the 1000 free in 10:08.70 and the 500 free in 4:49.98.
Other individual winners for the Violets included senior tri-captain Brad Thornton who took the 200 back in 2:00.99, sophomore Eric Pcholinski who won the 200 free in a time of 1:47.60, senior Shaughn Keating who won the 50 free in 22:18, and junior Andrew Lardiere who won the 100 free in a time of 47.64.
The Violets also took the 400 medley relay in a time of 3:35.89 led by strong performances by Thornton, freshman Andrew King, Wang, and Lardiere.
The NYU diving team also had a solid showing with freshman Max Norris taking third in the one-meter (247.80) and second in the three-meter (226.80).
The Violets next return to action Saturday, November 10, when the team hosts a tri-meet against U.S Coast Guard Academy and Wheaton College.
