Women's Soccer's Palumbo the Choice for UAA Honors

New York University freshman forward Laura Palumbo earned her first University Athletic Association (UAA) Athlete of the Week honor on Tuesday, September 11, following a strong second week of her rookie season.

Palumbo contributed two goals and two assists as the Violets went 2-0-1 and extended their season unbeaten streak to five matches. She contributed two goals off of the bench as the Violets beat Farmingdale State 5-1 on Wednesday. Palumbo then recorded two assists in NYU’s 6-1 victory over North Park University in the opening game of Stevens Institute of Technology Engineering Cup on Saturday.
