Men's Soccer Thayer Tabbed for ECAC, UAA Weekly Awards

New York University senior co-captain Jeritt Thayer earned the University Athletic Association (UAA) Men’s Soccer-Offense and Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Metro Region Athlete of the Week honors this week.

In a 5-1 victory over Rowan University on Oct. 17, Thayer produced two goals and an assist in the first 9:37, including two scores in the first 4:44 of the contest. Four days later, he netted two more goals to give him a career-high 13 in a 4-0 road, non-conference victory over St. Joseph’s College (Long Island).

Now 11-3-1 this season and winners of three straight contests, NYU is currently ranked #16 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/adidas National Rankings and #19 by d3kicks.com.
