Men's Golf Caps Competition at Camp Lejeune Invitational
03/30/08
Despite a rainy day that produced a slick course, the New York University men's golf team completed its third and final day of play Sunday at the Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate Invitational in Camp Lejeune, NC.
Playing on the par-70 Scarlet Course for the second consecutive day, the elements did not deter junior Alex Hopson, who carded a season-best 72 to lead the way as the Violets produced an aggregate team score of 293.
Rounding out the scoring foursome for NYU were seniors Andrew Gihm (76), Adam Krainson (76) and Mtt McGinnis (79). Sophomore Michael Liebfried shot an 80 in the final round.
NYU returns to action Sunday, April 6, for the first of two days at the Babson College Spring Invitational. The tournament will be held at the Atlantic Country Club in Plymouth, MA.
