
Men’s Golf Team Finishes Fifth at Williams College Invitational

Williams College Invitational Results
The New York University men’s golf team finished in fifth place at the Williams College Invitational, which was held Saturday and Sunday in Williamstown, Massachusetts.
After shooting 306 on Saturday, the Violets totaled 310 on Sunday to finish in a fifth-place tie (616) with Babson College.
Skidmore College won the tournament with a 590 total.
Leading the way for the Violets was sophomore Michael Leibfried, who shot a four-over par 75 on Sunday to finish with a team-best two-day total of 153.
Individually, Leibfried tied for 23rd place.
Senior Adam Krainson was the Violets' next best scorer, totaling 154 (75-79) and taking 26th place.
Junior James Hopson finished right behind Krainson, shooting 155 (78-77) and gaining 27th place.
Senior Matt McGinnis shot 157 (75-82) and tied for 42nd place, while freshman Benjamin Kleiner tied for 76th place with a two-day total of 168 (89-79).
The Violets return to action next weekend when they compete in the Eastern College Athletic Championship (ECAC) at the Oswego Country Club in Oswego, NY.
