
Women's Fencers Host Invitational

The New York University women's fencing team hosted its annual Invitational at the Jerome S. Coles Sports Center in Manhattan on Saturday, January 26.
The Violets won one of their six matches at the competition and are now 4-10 overall this season.
After falling to Ohio State University 25-2, Wayne State University 14-13 and St. John's University 19-8, NYU rebounded for a 16-11 win over Yale University.
However, the Violets lost their final two matches, falling 20-7 to the University of Notre Dame and 24-3 to Northwestern University.
The Violets' top performers were freshmen Sophia Ciaravino and Amanda Rysling, both posting 8-8 records in foil.
