Willock Scores at USFA North America Cup

New York University assistant coach Lauren Willock finished in 13th place in the Division I Women’s Epee competition at the United States Fencing Association’s North American Cup, a national circuit event, in Atlanta on January 20.

Willock began by winning all five of her pool bouts and then her first bout of direct elimination to move into the round of 32.

After recording another victory, she suffered her first lost.

However, Willock's subsequent victory qualified her for the round of 16, where she was defeated in her final bout.

Willock, who is in her first season leading the team's epeeists, was a four-year member of NYU's women's fencing team. She graduated in 2007 after compiling a 222-89 record for the Violets.
