All three members of New York University men's sabre team -- sophomores Jared Hammond and Sam Roukas, and freshman Kyle Wilson -- were honored as the University Athletic Association (UAA) Men's Fencing Co-Athletes of the Week.

The trio of Hammond, Roukas and Wilson combined to go 24-6 against 10 opponents, helping the Violets' sabre team finish second in the weapon at the Intercollegiate Fencing Association (IFA) Championships on Sunday at Columbia University. Hammond placed fifth individually in the weapon, while Roukas finished in the top-16, as NYU took eighth overall in the six-weapon, combined men's and women's standings.

NYU returns to action Sunday, March 2, for the NCAA Regionals at St. Johns University in Queens, NY.
