
Men's Fencing Team Posts Two Victories at NYU Invitational

The New York University men's fencing team hosted its annual Invitational at the Jerome S. Coles Sports Center in Manhattan on Saturday, January 26.
Four of the top five ranked men’s teams in the nation participated: #2 Ohio State University, #3 University of Notre Dame, #4 St. John’s University, and #5 Columbia University.
The Violets won two of their five matches at the competition and are now 5-7 overall this season.
After falling to Ohio State 19-8, NYU rebounded to capture a 22-5 decision over Wayne State University.
The Violets then fell to St. John's 18-9 before rallying for a 16-11 win over Yale University.
NYU dropped its final match, 23-4, to Notre Dame.
The Violets' top performer was sophomore Sam Roukas, who posted an 11-3 record in sabre.
