Junior forward Jessica McEntee posted her fourth career 30-point game and climbed into 10th place all-time on the New York University women's basketball scoring charts in the Violets' 73-65 loss to nationally ranked University of Rochester on Sunday at the Jerome S. Coles Sports Center in Manhattan.

McEntee finished with 30 points and 13 rebounds while going 16-for-19 at the charity stripe for NYU (14-8, 3-8 UAA), giving her 15 double-doubles this season and 34 in her career. The 5-11 junior captain now has 1,162 points, surpassing Jennifer Goeke (1,145 points, 1986-90) and current head coach Janice Quinn (1,137, 1981-85) for 10th place in scoring.

McEntee also established the UAA career free throw record with 200, surpassing the previous mark set by NYU's Donna Layne (194, 1990-94).

However, Rochester (18-4, 8-3 UAA) used a 24-6 first-half run to take a 38-19 lead at halftime. Center Julie Marriott tallied 11 of her 14 points in the first 20 minutes, as the Yellowjackets held NYU to 25.0% (6-for-24) shooting before the break.

In addition to Marriott, Helen Baroody and Jessica Waddell also tallied 14 points in the win for Rochester.

NYU shot 35.6% (21-for-59) from the floor, but just 8.3% (1-for-12) from three-point range. The Violets hit 64.7% (22-for-34) of their free-throw attempts, with McEntee going 12-for-17 in the second half while tallying 26 of her 30 points. NYU's junior captain now has four career 30-point performances.

NYU returns to action Friday, Feb. 22, when it travels to the University of Chicago for a 6 p.m. (Central Standard Time) tip-off.
