#21/23 Women's Basketball to Face Case Western Reserve Sunday

The New York University women's basketball team will look to shake a three-game losing streak when it opposes University Athletic Association (UAA) rival Case Western Reserve University on Sunday, Feb. 3, at 2 p.m. in Cleveland.

There will be a free audio and video webcast provided by Case Western Reserve.

Ranked #21 by D3hoops.com and #23 in the USA Today ESPN Division III Coaches' Poll, NYU (13-4, 2-4 UAA) is coming off an 80-60 setback at Emory University on Friday night.

Junior forward Jessica McEntee, the reigning UAA Player of the Year, finished with 25 points, seven rebounds and a career-best four blocks. Freshman guard Chelsea Blake also reached double digits for the Violets, netting 11 points.

Case Western Reserve (9-8, 2-4 UAA) have played inspired this season, including a 67-65 overtime defeat Friday against traditional UAA power Brandeis University. Ashley Horton paced the Spartans with 17 points and 14 boards for her eight double-double of the season.

Sunday's game will complete the first half of the Violets' UAA schedule. They will begin the second half of their Association slate Friday, Feb. 8, at home against Case Western Reserve at 6 p.m. in a "Tear It Up!" event.
