Women's Basketball Ascends One Spot to #3 in D3hoops.com Poll

Off to a 12-0 start, the New York University women's basketball team bumped up one spot to #3 in the latest D3hoops.com Top-25 Poll.

The Violets, who are also receiving two first-place votes, rank behind only #1 Hope College and #2 Howard Payne University.

Meanwhile, the Violets remained #4 in the USA Today/ESPN Division III Coaches' Poll.

NYU is off to its best start since opening the 2001-02 campaign by reeling off 14 straight victories.

In Monday's 54-36 victory at Hunter College, junior forward Jessica McEntee contributed 17 points, eight rebounds and four steals, while freshman guard Bianca Storts tied her career high with 15 points.

NYU returns to action Friday, Jan. 18, when it travels to University Athletic Association (UAA) rival University of Rochester (#21 D3hoops.com) for a 6 p.m. tilt.
