
#4 Women's Basketball to Open UAA Slate Against Brandeis Saturday

The New York University women's basketball team will host Brandeis University in the University Athletic Association (UAA) opener for both teams Saturday, Jan. 12, at 2 p.m. at the Jerome S. Coles Sports Center in Manhattan.
Prior to the contest, the Violets will stage their annual Alumni Game at noon.

Ranked #4 in the USA Today/ESPN and D3hoops.com polls, NYU enters with a record of 10-0 after defeating New Jersey City 64-48 on Monday.
Meanwhile, Brandeis is 9-2 and enters with a seven-game winning streak.
The Violets are 31-7 all-time against the Judges, including a season sweep in 2007: 59-53 in Waltham, MA, on Jan. 13 and 79-73 in the regular-season finale Feb. 24 at the Jerome S. Coles Sports Center. All-American and UAA Player of the Year Jessica McEntee averaged 26.0 points per game against the Judges last winter.
Under 21st-year head coach Janice Quinn, NYU is 15-5 in UAA openers.
