Men's Basketball Journeys to Windy City for UAA Contest

The New York University men's basketball team will travel to the University of Chicago for the first game of their final University Athletic Association (UAA) road trip of the 2007-08 senior beginning Friday night at 8 p.m. (Central Standard Time).

Chicago will provide both LiveStats and an audio internet broadcast for the contest.

NYU enters with a record of 15-7 and 6-5 in the UAA after a stirring 92-85, double-overtime victory over then-#6 ranked University of Rochester in its home final on Sunday. The Violets overcame a 15-point deficit in the final 8:46 of regulation, and a six-point hole at the start of the first overtime, before reeling off the first nine points of the second extra session.

Sophomore Zachary Kuba netted a career-best 20 points, including a tying three-pointer with 2.8 seconds left in the first overtime. Freshman Richie Polan also produced 20 points for the Violets, who produced five double-digit scorers.

Chicago (15-7, 8-3 UAA) is tied for second with Brandeis University in the UAA standings. The Maroons own a 61-44 victory over NYU in the team's other meeting on Jan. 27 in Manhattan.
