Men's Basketball's UAA Road Trip Starts Friday Night at Emory

The New York University men's basketball team will complete its first time through its University Athletic Association (UAA) schedule this weekend, beginning with an 8 p.m. tip-off Friday night at Emory University in Atlanta.

Emory will provide LiveStats for the contest, and will also provide an live audio webcast for a fee of $10.

NYU (10-6, 1-4 UAA) has dropped two straight contests, including a 61-44 setback at home against the University of Chicago on Sunday. Junior center John Mish scored a team-high 14 points for the Violets, and is averaging 13.0 points and 4.3 rebounds in 20.0 minutes over his last three contests.

Sophomore Keith Jensen (11.0 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 45.7 FG%, 39.4 3FG%) and senior Charlie Parker (10.3 ppg) leads the Violets in scoring.

Emory (10-6, 3-2 UAA) handed then-#1 University of Rochester its first loss on Jan. 25, triumphing 81-76 in overtime, before coming from behind to down Carnegie Mellon University, 89-85, last Sunday. Senior Spiros Ferderigos leads the UAA in scoring at 18.1 points per game.

The Violets lead the all-time series against Emory 27-14, including a series sweep last season.

After Friday's game, NYU will head to Cleveland to face Case Western Reserve University (7-9, 0-5 UAA) at noon on Sunday. The Violets have won 22 of 31 meetings with the Spartans, including two in 2007.
