The Chelsea Piers Sports and Entertainment Complex is a 30-acre sports and film center located on the Hudson River between West 17th and West 23rd Streets.

It houses top-notch athletic facilities for ice and inline skating, golf, rock climbing, gymnastics, and indoor lacrosse and soccer, as well as batting cages and a bowling alley. NYU has an agreement with Chelsea Piers for them to provide facilities for intramural competition and special events, playing and practice space for several varsity and club teams (baseball, golf, ice hockey, soccer, softball), discounted recreation courses, and reduced admission and membership fees for students and other Coles members for individual use.
