Former New York University Varsity athletes and coaches (who have graduated from NYU prior to 2002) are eligible for nomination into the Hall. Nominations must include supported documentation and may be submitted to the Violet Booster Club Coordinator prior to September 1st for selection consideration for the following year.

Four former student-athletes will be inducted into the New York University Athletics Hall of Fame at the
2008 Varsity Athlete Alumni Reunion & Hall of Fame Induction at the Kimmel Center's Rosenthal Pavilion on May 10, 2008. Elliott Denman (men's track & field, class of 1956), Joe Fink (men's soccer, class of 1978), Paul Palestis (men's fencing, class of 1998), and Boris Vaysburd (men's volleyball, class of 1995) have been selected as the Class of 2008. Members of the 2007 men's cross country team will also be honored at the event, as we celebrate their recent NCAA National Championship. Four former student-athletes were inducted into the New York University Athletics Hall of Fame at the 2007 Varsity Athletes Alumni Reunion & Hall of Fame Inductions at the Kimmel Center's Rosenthal Pavilion on May 6, 2007. Jen Krolikowski (women's basketball, class of 1997), Richard Maiocco (men's track & field, class of 1952), Mike Muzio (men's baseball & basketball, coach and administrator, class of 1958), and Robert Schwarz (men's volleyball, class of 2000) joined the famed Hall. Members of the 1997 women's basketball team were also honored at the event, as we celebrated the 10-year anniversary of their historic NCAA Championship. (more)


Four former student-athletes were inducted into the New York University Athletics Hall of Fame at a ceremony at the Palladium Athletic Facility on May 7, 2006. Howard Goodman (men's fencing, 1965), Gennady Gurin (men's swimming, 1994), Les MacMitchell (men's track, 1942) and Jennifer Miani (women's basketball, 1988). The great teams that played under basketball coaching legend Lou Rossini from 1959-1971 were also honored at the event. (more info.)


Five former student-athletes were inducted into the New York University Athletics Hall of Fame at a ceremony at the Palladium Athletic Facility on May 15, 2005. Marsha Harris, Hans Wieselgren, and Dr. Jack E. Peckett were inducted as the Class of 2004, while James Cardasis and Christina Keller were honored as the Class of 2005. (more info.)


Four former New York University student-athletes were inducted into the NYU Athletics Hall of Fame at a reception held on Friday, May 9, 2003, at the Puck Building, in Manhattan. Abraham Balk, Gordon McKenzie, John Eisenberg, and Greg Belinfanti were inducted the Hall, which was founded in 1970. (more info.)


NYU alumni Dorothy Hafner deCapriles, Oleg Geller, George King, and Arthur Tauber, have been inducted into New York University's Athletics Hall of Fame at a dinner held on October 13, 2001. The four athletes were honored for their collegiate and lifetime accomplishments, along with their commitment to NYU Athletics. (more info.)
