New York University Crew welcomes accomplished and motivated high school seniors to apply to NYU and to be part of its team. While NYU Crew does not provide athletic scholarships, it plays an active role in the admissions process for high school recruits. If you are interested in rowing at New York University, please contact Head Coach Nate Young (young@nyu.edu).

We begin our spring racing season with the local Grimaldi Cup and continue with a full schedule of competitive regattas. Student-athletes get to take a break from New York City life and head to Philadelphia, Camden, Washington D.C., and upstate New York to compete in the Knecht Cup, the Capitol Classic, and the New York State Championships. New York University rowers end their spring rowing season at the elite Dad Vail Regatta in Pennsylvania. At the end of the season, NYU rowers have earned memories that will last a lifetime.

During weekday practices, the team is suttled in Athletics vans to the boathouse. During the weekends, the team takes teh subway (http://www.mta.info/nyct/maps/submap.htm)

Downtown at the state of the art Jerome S. Coles Sports Center, land training and afternoon practices take place in the exercise prescription room with ergometers, stationary bikes, and treadmills, as well as on the roof-deck track, in the two weight rooms, and in Coles' NCAA standard size pool. A new sports center has just been built, the Palladium Athletic Facility. Students on the team have access to the Palladium as well.
