Women's Tennis' Holly Smith Wins UAA Honor

New York University senior Holly Smith was named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week on March 3.

Smith won matches in both singles and doubles, and led the Violets to a 9-0 victory over Salisbury University on February 29.

Smith teamed up with Meggie Smith (no relation) in #1 doubles to post an 8-1 victory. Smith also posted a 6-2, 6-2 victory in #1 singles, her first singles win of the spring season. Smith is 11-5 on the year in singles and 10-4 in doubles competition.

Smith has been named UAA Athlete of the Week three times in her two seasons playing for NYU.
