Women's Diving's Peters Takes Home Fourth UAA Weekly Honor

New York University senior captain Melanie Peters earned the University Athletic Association (UAA) Women’s Diving Athlete of the Week award for the fourth time this season.

Peters swept both springboard diving events for the second straight meet in helping the Violets defeat host Vassar College, 183-107. The win helped Peters and the Violets cap-off a 2007-2008 dual meet campaign with a perfect 11-0 record.

The four-time UAA Athlete of the Week surpassed NCAA Division III qualifying standards in both the one-meter dive (262.88 points) and the three-meter event (292.05 points) over the weekend.

Peters and the undefeated Violets are off for the next few weeks as they gear up for the UAA Championships starting on February 20 at the University of Rochester.
