Women's Fencing Frons Earns UAA Athlete of the Week

New York University sophomore Sam Frons was named the University Athletic Association's Female Fencer Athlete of the Week after a strong week.

Frons, using the epee won all of her matches in the foil as the Violets opened the dual-match season with a pair of victories over Fairleigh Dickinson University. Frons went 3-0 om the first match, a 23-6 victory for the Violets. She then went on to repeat at 3-0 in the second meeting, a 21-6 NYU victory.
