NYU #5 in Director's Cup Standings Following Winter Season

Directors' Cup Standings

New York University remained #5 in the most recent rankings of the Sports Academy Directors' Cup Division III Standings, which was released on May 3.

NYU was also #5 in the previous rankings (as of March 29).

The Violets have accumulated 532.5 overall points, with all of the fall and winter championship sports included.

NYU's women's basketball team earned 83 points for making it to the Final Four. NYU's men's indoor track and field team received 66 points for their best-ever 10th-place NCAA finish, while the men's swimming & diving team earned 60 points for its 15th-place national finish.

The winter season also included the wrestling team garnering 45 points for their 31st-place finish at the NCAA Championships. The combined men's & women's fencing team earned 35 points for a 19th-place national finish, while the Violets' women's swimming & diving team collected 22.5 points for their 51st-place NCAA finish.

During the fall season, the Violets' received 90 points for finishing as the national runner-up in men's cross country. The men's soccer team's Final Four finish was worth 83 points, while the women's volleyball team earned 50 points for making it to the Round of 32.

Williams College leads the standings with 704.5 points.
