
Boone Named First Team All-UAA; DeCorso, Falcon on Second Team

The New York University men's basketball team placed three players on the 2006-07 University Athletic Association (UAA) Men's Basketball All-Association teams released Thursday.
Senior center Jason Boone earned his second straight First Team All-UAA selection, while senior forwards Michael DeCorso and Daniel Falcon each garnered spots on the Second Team.
Boone averaged 16.3 points and 9.9 rebounds while shooting 64.1% in 14 UAA games. Overall, the 6-6 senior from Sugar Loaf, NY, is averaging 14.4 points, 9.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.2 blocks per game. Boone tied his career high of 26 points in an overtime win at the University of Rochester on Jan. 7.
DeCorso averaged a career-high 15.4 points per game overall while shooting 47.0% from the field, including a 42.3% conversion rate from beyond the three-point arc. The 6-4 senior from Freehold, New Jersey, was also clutch in UAA games, averaging 14.7 points while hitting 40.8% of his long-range shots.
Falcon missed two UAA games due to injury, but still averaged 10.5 points and 7.0 rebounds in 12 league contests. His best effort came against Emory University on Jan. 19, when he scored 20 points and grabbed a career-high tying 17 boards. Overall, the 6-7 native of River Vale, NJ, 11.2 points, 8.4 boards and a career-best 1.5 blocks per game.
