Violets Sweep Case Western in UAA Hoops Doubleheader

Both the New York University men's and women's teams recorded double-digit victories over Case Western Reserve University on Sunday afternoon at the Jerome S. Coles Sports Center.

The NYU men (14-2, 3-2 UAA) opened the day with a 69-52 victory over the Spartans (4-12, 0-5 UAA). Senior Jason Boone scored a team-high 16 points, while the backcourt of senior Matt Basford and junior Charlie Parker scored 13 points apiece. Basford and Parker each hit three three-pointers. The NYU women (15-1, 4-1 UAA) capped the twinbill with an 88-74 triumph over Case Western (8-8, 0-5 UAA). Sophomore Jessica McEntee scored a career-high 22 points, while junior Chelsea Trout (14) and freshman Jen Hum-Traverso (10) also produced their personal bests in scoring. Women's Basketball Page
