Both the New York University men's and women's basketball teams are ranked in their respective latest d3hoops.com Top 25 Polls.

The NYU men (7-0) broke into their poll at #23, while the Violets' women (8-0) remained #24 for the second consecutive week.

Both squads have dominated their early opponents.

The NYU men have outscored their opponents by an average of 20.7 points (73.4-52.7), holding three teams to 49 points or fewer, while outrebounding their foes by an average of 12.7 caroms (40.3-27.6). Leading the way has been the senior frontcourt of 6-6 center Jason Boone (12.1 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 3.1 apg, 2.3 bpg, 65.9 FG%), 6-4 swingman Michael DeCorso (career-best 17.3 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 55.7 FG%, 51.3 3FG%) and 6-7 power forward Daniel Falcon (11.7 ppg, 9.9 rpg, 54.8 FG%).

The NYU women, meanwhile, have outscored opponents by an average of 27.3 points (75.1-47.9) and have won each of their eight contests by 11 points or more. In addition, they have outrebounded foes by an average of 17.8 caroms (52.0-34.2) and have held teams to 29.1% shooting.

Ten different players average at least 11.1 minutes per game for the Violets, while three student-athletes average double figures in scoring: 6-0 senior tri-captain and forward Stephanie Ryba (12.6 ppg, 4.0 rpg), 5-1 senior tri-captain and point guard Adrienne Rochetti (12.1 ppg, 3.1 apg, 2.1 spg, 50.0 3FG%) and 5-11 sophomore forward Jessica McEntee (10.8 ppg, 12.1 rpg, 80.9 FT%).
